Our school relies on contributions from families like yours to pay for programs that enrich the learning experience for all Henry Ford Mustangs. For the 2017-18 academic year, a full student contribution is $200.  While we prefer a full annual contribution, any amount is gratefully accepted. We also have a new monthly installments program at

Families who donate the full contribution and/or sponsor a program can choose to receive a Henry Ford Mustang tee shirt (child) AND be featured on our website!

National PTA School Of Excellence logoThis is a much lower ask compared to other schools and you’ll find that our hardworking teachers and PTA deliver real bang for the buck. In fact, Henry Ford Elementary has been named a National PTA School of Excellence for the 2017 -2019 school years! This honor belongs to less than a dozen California schools and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools that work to improve the educational experience and school environment for every child.

Ambassadors Update

With so many school choices in this area, Henry Ford’s success depends on our ability to attract quality students. Our Ambassadors are an avid group of parents & students who volunteer their time and knowledge to spread the word that Henry Ford Elementary provides a quality K-5 experience where students and their parents join a community of friends. Learn more at

Active community members can also sign up for NextDoor with this priority invitation and please take a moment to “thank” our post so we spread the word online about our latest School of Excellence award throughout the local neighborhoods

After School Enrichment

Henry Ford offers a number of extracurricular activities on site after school including sports, art, and chess. Spanish for 1st-3rd grade is new this year Wednesdays from 2:20-3:20 and 4 more students are needed to make this program a success. The last day to sign up is Thurs Aug 31 so send in your form right away. Learn more at

School Modernization

  • Dumpsters – Our dumpsters were temporarily moved because the old spot on the sidewalk was unsafe & unsanitary. They have returned to the front of the school this week but reoriented in the circular driveway. The donation bin will be removed soon.
  • Lunch Areas – Conceptual designs for sun shades to cover the outdoor lunch tables have been approved by the RCSD board. Technical plans will be developed for state approval. This is expected to take ~12 months, after which we can quickly expect installation.
  • Measure T Communication – If you’d like more information on project timelines or how $193 of bond money is being spent at each school site, check the updated Measure T website or attend this fall’s site council or neighborhood meetings.

Do you know any local businesses who would like to invest in our students and demonstrate a commitment to quality education & community engagement? We are introducing a sponsorship program for the 2017-18 school year, so please share this opportunity with interested parties. Reach out in person, by phone, or email and give out this link

Sponsors will be recognized for their contribution on our website.
