5th Grade Promotion

Congratulations to our 5th graders on their promotion! There were cheers and smiles as they picked up their certificates and goodies. We wave goodbye to their time here at Henry Ford, but they will always be Mustangs at heart. Thank you to our fantastic 5th grade teaching team, Ms. Julien, Ms. Tuepel and Ms. JJ for making it a memorable final year.

Retiring Teachers
With the school year ending we say goodbye to a few of our wonderful teachers as they retire; Ms. Julien, Ms. Northen and Ms. Vallejo. They have dedicated their careers to educating our children with enthusiasm and love for teaching. We thank them for their time at Henry Ford and touching the hearts of so many. Cheers to you!

Thanks to many local restaurants including Chipotles, Crouching Tiger, Villa Lucia, Canyon Inn and our latest, Sancho’s Taqueria who generously donated 15% of total sales including non Henry Ford patrons! Please note during this time, these restaurants are open for take out and some for delivery. We hope you can support them and feed your families as they have so graciously supported us!

Homework Technology Support Wanted!

Do you have a used Chromebook you would be willing to donate to a family in need? No child should be doing their homework on a cellphone. Please contact the Henry Ford office if you are able to help.

Check the PTA Facebook page during the closure for daily Family STEAM Activity posts.  Simple ideas to keep students engaged.  Feel free to share with friends and add more ideas!

At Home Kid Activities

The California Schools and Local Communities Funding Act of 2020 (also known as the “split roll” initiative), will raise approximately $12 billion in annual funds for public education, local governments and community services by reassessing and taxing certain commercial properties at current market value. The initiative will appear on the November 2020 statewide ballot if it gets enough signatures to qualify by April 14.

We urge you to sign the petition, which you can do by clicking here. The campaign is also seeking volunteers to help collect signatures. Click here to volunteer.
