We raised over $20k! These funds are critical to pay for Henry Ford programs such as PE, art, music, and Project Cornerstone.
Thank you families & friends of Henry Ford for your support. Go Mustangs!
In this month’s ABC book, “Recess Queen” by Alexis O’Neill , Mean Jean the “recess queen” rules the playground with an iron fist. No one dares cross her path for fear of being hit, punched, or kicked. One day, a new girl shows up on the playground and catches Mean Jean completely off guard. Katie Sue is not the least bit intimidated by Mean Jean. Katie Sue actually invites Jean to join in a jump rope game! In no time, Jean and Katie Sue become friends.

Mark your calendars for our Kindergarten Playdates this summer! Incoming Kindergartners can get a headstart on new friends, and families can get to know each other before the school year. Please sign up to help!
Reviews are critical to our school’s reputation and ability to attract great student families. We need your help to write content for http://henryfordpta.org/reviews from which we will rotate testimonials to feature on the homepage and our Instagram page. It would be ideal to have a mix of parent, student, and teacher testimonials. If you and/or your child are able to help, please send to firstname.lastname@example.org :
- 2-3 sentence testimonial
- Your photo (I will crop to a circle)
- Your full name & whether you are parent, student, teacher
- Your grade (if student or teacher)
Reviews in Spanish would be impressive and welcome!

As we look forward to the end of a great school year, start preparing your students for summer reading & learning! Our Redwood City libraries always run an amazing summer challenge with reading prizes and weekly drawings for museum passes. Barnes & Noble has a summer program for kids to earn a free book. Print a journal for each student, read & write about 8 books, then turn in to a local store (closest one is at Sequoia Station) to choose a free book.
California Honor Roll
Our California Honor Roll banner is here! Thank you to everyone who showed up for our group photo. Check our Awards page and Instagram for photos. And stop by the Kindergarten playground fence to check it out for yourself. Be sure to tag any photos with #HenryFordElementary.
